Born and raised in Lanham, Mark Bickerstaff — better known as “Rock” — discovered combat sports at an early age. He began training in karate at just 8 years old before transitioning to boxing at 14 in search of something more competitive and demanding. That decision would shape the course of his career.

Since stepping into the ring, Rock has built an impressive resume as a back-to-back Golden Gloves Champion, Team USA National Champion, and USIBA Champion. Now competing professionally, he has already completed two pro fights and is preparing for his third as he continues to rise through the sport.

Inspired by legendary fighters like Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins, Rock brings a style that reflects both discipline and individuality. For him, boxing is more than competition — it’s therapy. The ring is where he feels most free, focused, and fully himself.
